I and my husband would like to determine if there is any interest among any of the Americymru members appertaining to developing a standard or set of criteria for recognition of Y Cymru or the Welsh people as an indigenous people. I find the hardest thing about learning Welsh is the humour. Even "Stori'r Dydd" in the Eisteddfod, I'll be following along happily and all of a sudden the punchline will come, everybody's roaring with laughter in the Pabell Len, and I'm bewilderedly trying to figure out what was so funny. Maybe Welsh humour isn't like Canadian humour, but where can a learner get some good practice listening to it? And don't anybody write back and recommend the daily digest from Y Cynulliad!
